True and Faithful is said at night. Many people have a fear of the night. Or, we made it through the day. Seeing and believing is establishing something.
The Muslim Sabbath is on Friday (Ishmeal/chessed/right). Our Sabbath is Saturday (teferet/middle). Xtian Sabbath is Sunday (gevurah/left). Judaism is the balancing factor between the other two religions. When Meshiach comes all siblings will talk to each other.
G*d exists in the space between the lender and the borrower (kerugim, ezer connegdo). This is a holy relationship because it keeps the dignity of the borrower, which a handout does not do. When lost items are returned (mitzvah of returning a lost item), it gives people a sense of trust. There is a man who locates the owners of lost funds in shuls.
Xtians said the Pharasees were hypocrits because the rabbis took the idealized law (lending money with no interest) and made it work (the prosebul made it okay to charge interest through a company). The result was the image of Shylock, anti-Semitism. Another example: the lack of production during the shmita year would hurt itinerant workers, so the rabbis changed the borders of Israel to exclude certain areas. Jews adapted and thrived in post-World War I German during the period of hyperinflation. This resulted in anti-Semitism. The bumper crop in the sixth year was a metaphor.
One manâs adaptability is another manâs hypocrisy. What do you do when another religion adopts a core tenet of your religion?
